The Family Centre:
The Family Centre on 59 James Street is run by the Churchill Parent Child Coalition. There are programs and activities for expecting, new parents, and their babies, planned every every Monday-Thursday.
Below is a list and description of some of the programs that are run. For more information, follow the link below to see their Facebook page or contact the friendly staff, with the information below. They are very knowledgeable and will be happy to answer all your questions!
Stay and Play:
For caregivers and their children of any age. Snack, craft/art and socializing help to feel connected. The social skills that children develop are important for their growth.
Healthy Baby:
This program is for anyone prenatal or with an infant under one year of age. Offered by the Public Health Department, please contact Shanna for more information at 204-675-8327.
Baby Play:
Got a baby? You're in!! This is a time for parents and caregivers of babies under 2 (but we won't check ID if they are older) to get along with other kids in their care and hang out together. The conversation is worth it as we touch on different baby topics and experiences.
Art Attack:
Have a budding Picasso on your hands? Help your child explore the world of art without the mess at home! We will have fun with different mediums, from finger painting to washable markers, collages to murals, it's time for and Art Attack.
Make & Take:
Come and try your hand at creating something fun, like play dough. Take it home when you are done!
Family Swim:
Family Swim held on Saturday at the swimming pool in Town Centre Complex. Admission Fee covered by Churchill Parent Child Coalition.
All activities are free of charge and available on a drop-in basis.
